Service Stream has won its second contract renewal for work on the national broadband network in a month, today announcing a two-year extension to its existing field services delivery contract across five states and territories.

The contract includes two one-year extension options. Service Stream said in an ASX filing it expectes to generate revenue of $140 million from the deal.

Service Stream will continue to connect the physical cable from the street to the home, and install NBN connection boxes and power supply units in homes and businesses across Victoria, Western Australia, South Australia and the Northern Territory.

Service Stream also appears to have picked up extra work in NSW under the new contract extension, a region which was not included in its initial deal.

Silcar has been performing the field services work in NSW for the past two years, as well as in Queensland and the ACT, under a contract worth up to $78 million.

Service Stream also won a contract renewal from NBN Co last month for the continuing roll out of fibre to greenfields developments for two more years throughout NSW, South Australia, Western Australia and the Northern Territory.

It said at the time it expected to reap $70 million from the contract, and a further $70 million if the two available one-year extensions were taken up.

Fellow NBN greenfields fibre contractor Visionstream was also offered a renewed contract in May to continue work in Victoria and Queensland, and was given new work in Tasmania under a two-year deal worth around $90 million.
