Whether it's the result of increasing consumption of online video content from licit or illicit sources, the growing number of connected devices in our households, or just ISP's growing tendency to meter uploads as well as downloads, what seemed to be a reasonably generous monthly data quota a few years ago is becoming constricting.
One problem is that ISPs don't always automatically pass on plan improvements - assuming they make any! - or improved plans to existing customers. This makes sense in the short term (why give someone 100GB if they seem happy to pay the same amount for 50GB), we've long felt that approach fosters resentment and encourages churn.
Something to be said for Internode is that the company does have a history of doing the right thing by its customers. Around this time last year iTWire reported that quotas had been improved on certain Internode plans, and that existing customers would automatically receive the same increase.

For example, anyone on the Easy Broadband 50 (ie, 50GB) plan is being moved to the Easy Broadband 100 (100GB) at no extra charge.
Similarly, Easy Naked 200 customers will be moved to Easy Naked 250.
According to company officials, more than 60,000 customers will benefit from the changes.
Not all variations on the plans are being improved. For example, the Easy Naked 30 and 60 plans have been discontinued, though existing customers will have their plans 'grandfathered' so they can stay on them as long as they wish. However, they might consider moving to Easy Naked 150, which currently costs the same ($59.95) as the old 30 plan or $10 less than the old 60 plan - but it would be wise to check the implications of switching plans before doing so.
