It's a funny business - not that long ago, companies were plugging "NBN ready" routers that included an Ethernet WAN port as well as a built-in ADSL modem. The idea was that you'd use ADSL until the NBN reached your street, and then you'd simply run an Ethernet cable from the NBN network termination device (NTD) to the router.
Now that the NBN calls for a mix of technologies, we start seeing "VDSL2-ready" modem/routers. The reasoning is the same: use ADSL for now, then switch to VDSL when it is available in your area.
"FRITZ!Box routers will be ready to go from day one," said PCRange CEO Raaj Menon.

So what else does the 7360 have to offer? 802.11n Wi-Fi (11ac would be more attractive), two Gigabit Ethernet ports, two 100Mbps Ethernet ports, and two USB ports with storage and printer sharing.
It allows connection of an analogue phone and fax machine, and also works with DECT handsets. The built-in answering machine has the ability to forward messages via email.
The first shipment is expected next week.
PCRange already stocks the more expensive FRITZ!Box 7490 which includes 802.11ac Wi-Fi and now provides VDSL2 support, according to a company spokesperson.
