With TPG pushing its weight around aggressively via its bid to take over iiNet, its bid to keep Amcom a stand-alone entity and now competitive new NBN plans, TPG may well stand for ‘The Pushy Group’ that is clearly no pushover.
In addition to a plan starting at $39.99 at the slow speeds of 12Mbps down and 1Mbps up, TPG also has plans with ‘up to’ 25Mbps and 50Mbps download speeds, as well as the 100Mbps plan previously offered for those lucky enough to be on a connection that could actually deliver 100Mbps.
You can see full details of TPG’s NBN plans here.
The new contract options include an 18 month contract with a $0 setup fee, along with a n lock-in contract that has a set-up fee of $99, with both plans coming with a Wi-Fi modem.
Depending on the plan you choose, you’ll at least get unlimited local landline calls, but as you pay more for faster speeds and larger data inclusions, TPG notes the ’majority of TPG’s new NBN product range offer various combinations of included calls such as unlimited local calls, unlimited calls to Australian mobiles and unlimited international calls to selected countries.’

TPG’s Levy said: “People often ask how TPG can offer such competitive products. We are able to keep costs down and pass the benefit on to customers since we are a nationwide infrastructure owner with extensive domestic and international bandwidth, as well as one of the largest fixed voice operators.”
