Netflix October 2015 Australian content selection

By

Netflix also has a great selection of new TV shows including Netflix originals, and quality additions to the movie selection for the month of October!

Netflix is well known for its original TV series, all of which are used in Netflix’s battle to become HBO quicker than HBO can become Netflix, although that particular battle still rages.

Netflix has also cheated several times, either listing content that premiered on 30 September (which is last month), or listing TV shows or movies coming ‘1 November’, which should really be in next month’s November content selection.

I guess Netflix wanted to pad out their email a little and at the same time give people content to look out for in the not-too-distant future. It’s a bit sneaky, though!

The six ‘Netflix Originals’ TV shows for adults airing from various times this month include:

  • 1 October: Scream - Season 1
  • 2 October: Anhelah Johnson - Not Fancy
  • 9 October: Winter on Fire, about Ukraine’s fight for freedom
  • 16 October: Beasts of No Nation
  • 16 October: Anthony Jeselnik: Thoughts and Prayers
  • 23 October: Hemlock Grove

In the Netflix Originals ‘Series for Kids’ section you’ll find:

  • 9 October: Mr Peabody and Sherman - Season 1
  • 16 October: Some Assembly Required - Season 2
  • 30 October: Popples

In the ‘Beware of the Scare’ collection are three movies:

  • Available now: Insidious
  • 6 October: Into the Woods
  • 16 October: It Follows

In ‘The Underworld’ collection are three TV shows:

  • Available Now: The Blacklist - Season 2
  • 12 October: Gotham - Season 1
  • 1 November: Seven Deadly Sins

In the ‘Battle Heroes’ collection are three top movies:

  • 8 October: Interstellar
  • 17 October: Troy
  • 1 November: The Last Samurai

In the ‘Laughs to Lighten the Mood’ collection are three movies:

  • 20 October: What happens in Vegas
  • 22 October: Horrible Bosses 2
  • 1 November: Something Borrowed

In the ‘Don’t Stop Believing’ collection you’ll find:

  • 15 October: First Comes Love
  • 1 November: Don’t Stop Believin’: Everyman’s Journey

Finally, in the ‘Armed and Ready’ collection are three TV shows:

  • 7 October: Supernatural - Season 10
  • 13 October: Tyrant - Season 1
  • 17 October: Peaky Blinders - Season 1
