iiNet reports nationwide outage for email, voice, contact centre

iiNet's email, voice, and contact centres are experiencing an outage across Australia.

TPG-owned telecommunications provider iiNet is experiencing a nationwide outage across its voice, email, and contact centre services due to a "serious fault".

iiNet customers are experiencing difficulties in reaching contact centres, as well as with using email and voice services, according to the telco's service status page.

"Engineers are continuing to investigate with the assistance of our vendor with highest priority, there is no current ETR," the page notes.

"Some customers are experiencing call dropouts when attempting to contact the iiNet support lines.

"Some customers will be unable to log in to email via an email client. Customers will receive an error when attempting to authenticate. Some customers will be unable to log in to email via webmail. Customers will receive an error when attempting to authenticate.

"Customers will be unable to check voicemail messages on netphone services."

According to the service status page, the voice and email outage has been occurring for six hours, while the contact centre has been out for three hours.

TPG had not responded to a request for comment by the time of publication.
