Australia’s second biggest telco Optus is tempting customers with a promise of fast speeds, more entertainment options and $10 off their monthly bill as it launches its new suite of fixed broadband plans.

“We know our customers want more value and that’s why we’ve developed two plans which provide options for added entertainment and access to Optus Sport. Our Optus Ultra plan offers fast broadband speeds, unlimited data and unlimited standard calls to local fixed lines,” says Optus managing director of product and marketing, Ben White.

“We’re excited to launch our new Optus Ultra plans which will provide a superior home broadband experience when streaming high definition entertainment and sport content, and enable multiple streams and more devices to be connected at one time.

“With the 2018 FIFA World Cup due to kick off next month, the Optus Ultra Entertainment plan will suit Australians who don’t want to miss a minute of the action. This plan offers the same inclusions as the Optus Ultra plan and also includes a premium modem, Fetch Box with one premium channel pack and an Optus Sport subscription.

“Importantly, we’ve upgraded our Optus NBN broadband base speed from NBN12 to NBN50 which now offers existing customers typical minimum evening speeds of 43.65Mbps, as at the end of April 2018.”

Optus Ultra plan offers customers the following monthly inclusions:

  • Reduced access fee of $65 per month when bundled with an eligible Optus postpaid mobile account
  • Speed Pack 3 (Standard Plus Evening Speed, equivalent to NBN50)
  • Unlimited data
  • Unlimited standard calls to local fixed lines, and unlimited standard calls to national fixed lines for an additional $5, and unlimited standard calls to Australian mobiles for an additional $5 per month, and unlimited standard international calls to selected countries* for an additional $10 per month

And, the Ultra Entertainment plan offers:
