Optus’ Territory general manager for Regional Western Australia, Cameron Edwards, said: “This financial year, Optus has invested $3.85 million in its mobile network across the region, working with local communities to improve mobile coverage in their area.”
“We’re committed to providing great coverage and great value to our customers, having switched on sites in Quairading, Baandee, Wyalkatchem, Koorda, Cunderdin and Round Hill.
The company also switched on new mobile towers across the Barossa Valley with these being in Moculta, Cockatoo Valley and the Tanunda CBD.

A mobile tower was also switched on in Valla Beach which is in the Nambucca Valley.
Optus’ Territory general manager for North West New South Wales, Chris Simon, said, “the site will provide dedicated 4G mobile coverage to locals and tourists just in time for the festive season.
“We understand the importance for holiday destinations such as Valla Beach to have dedicated mobile reception and we’re committed to providing great coverage to our customers across the Nambucca Valley.
“This financial year, Optus has invested more than $500,000 in its mobile network across the Nambucca Valley, working with local communities to improve mobile coverage in their local area.
“The new tower at Valla Beach will provide enhanced coverage along the Pacific Highway, just in time for the Christmas rush."
