Circles.Life says it will also be matching the amount and adding it to its donation to the fund, on top of the bill waiver that it extended to customers who live in the affected areas.
“The devastation that we have seen across the country from the bushfires has been heartbreaking. As a company that aims to give power back to the people, we are determined to help and stand with the people of Australia,” said Ben Murray, General Manager, Circles.Life Australia.
“We’re donating all the proceeds we get from our Data Boost sales for the relief fund.”

Circle.life says all collected funds will be sent to the Australian Red Cross to support communities affected by the bushfires across the country, with the Data Boost feature allowing users to add a one-off 3GB of data for $6 on top of their Circles.Life monthly plan directly through the Circles.Life app.
“This feature can be used multiple times and the data added expires at the end of the month. This donation is Circles.Life’s second initiative to assist with those affected by the bushfires after it extended bill waivers at the beginning of January to customers who were in affected areas,” the company said.
As reported by iTWire, last December - after first launching in the Australian market in August - Circles.Life created a S$1 million fundraising page via GoGetFunding designed to “bail people out from mobile contracts worldwide and to give the telco freedom the customers deserve” - and kicking off the funding campaign with its own initial donation of S$50,000.
