A statement from the company said those who signed up before 30 June would get bonus points. Members would earn 10 points for every $1 they spent on monthly charges and pre-paid re-charges from 14 May onwards.
During the launch of the program in Melbourne on Tuesday, Telstra chief executive Andy Penn said, in addition to discounts on products and tech, Telstra Plus would also deliver more entertainment benefits and other rewards.
“Australians have more choice than ever before when it comes to their telco provider and millions of our customers choose to join and stay with Telstra for their connectivity, technology and entertainment needs,” he said.

“In addition to the better value we provide our customers through our larger network coverage and data speeds, we’re upping the ante through rewarding our customers for their loyalty over time," Penn said.
“Many of our customers have been with us since before the days of the Internet and mobile phones and, as we start to unlock the latest generation of technology through 5G, Telstra Plus is our way of saying thank you for being with us today as we move through an exciting time.
“The first 5G devices will be available with Telstra soon, opening up even more opportunities for Australians to get more out of life through technology and helping our customers take advantage of all our network has to offer.”
