The three-year deal will see Launtel add capacity and bolster resilience across its national network.
The deal will also leverage Superloop’s redundant links to 118 nbn POIs around Australia, expected to be worth more than $5 million over the lift of the contract.
“This backhaul forms an integral part of Launtel’s expanding national network of intercap links, DC POPs, peering, and IP transit,” said Launtel chief technology officer Damian Ivereigh.

“Superloop has a long-stated goal to lead challenger brands to a 30% market share here in Australia, and this wholesale backhaul partnership with Launtel helps deliver exactly that,” said Superloop group executive business and wholesale Daisey Stampfer.
Launtel CEO Adam Poulton underscored the importance of choice for consumers.
“Launtel has consistently featured at the top of the ACCC’s quarterly Measuring Broadband Australia Report since first appearing in the report in December 2022,” said Poulton, referring to Launtel as the best performing telco with customers receiving 103.8% of their nbn’s plan maximum speeds during peak hours between 7pm to 11pm.
“We hope to continue improving on these statistics over the coming months with the additional reliability of the backhaul network built on the Superloop Wholesale dual links to all nbn POIs.”
“We’ve seen Australians refreshing their internet in droves, switching to challenger ISPs like Launtel that deliver a great experience by prioritising customer service, providing flexible contract-free plans, fast speeds, and importantly, reliability,” concluded Stampfer.
